This week on Mathletics I have learnt how to subtract fractions with different denominators .
An Example of this is:
21/49 - 2/7 =
First you have to change the denominator to the same numbers,you usually change the smaller number to the bigger number using multiplication.
7x8 = 49 2x8= 16
21/49 - 16/49 = 5/49
This is how you subtract fractions with different denominators .
