L.I Use different sentence starters

As I rode through the tall pine trees that were looming over top of me  I practiced changing gears . Ouch, my hand got really sore as I frustratingly struggled to change gears . Oh no it’s my turn to ride over the ramps .‘Keep going ‘ you can do it ‘ I thought as I was recapping everything Sam  the instructor told us : fast speed , level pedals , stand up on your bike and look forwards .  This was only the first ramp I was already slightly hesitant .I  quickly ascended the  ramp . I was thrilled . I actually made it over the ramp ,I thought I was going to fall off and fail . Miserably . But I  succeeded .

I was staring at the pine needles scattered across the ground while I was waiting in line for my biggest fear . The See-Saw . I was scared but I was still determined to conquer the seesaw and face my biggest fear .I was the front of the line nothing was stopping me so ….

Now for the see-saw . If I was nervous before , that was an understatement . As I approached the see-saw it felt like it was rushing towards me like a big horrifying monster . But once I was on it I was ecstatic . The tilt Of the see-saw was like a miniature turn of a tiny rollercoaster . I wish there was a time machine so that I could go back and replay that moment over and over . I loved the feeling the wind in my hair and feeling successful as I had conquered it . I enjoyed it so much I want to do it all over again . If there was any activity that I want to do again I would definitely say mountain biking because  I enjoyed it so much I want to do it all over again .  

Raspberry Cheese cake

As I look at the creamy,mouthwatering raspberry cheesecake that has ever so  carefully  chocolate sauce drizzled on top . I couldn't help but having just a little lick , It was Delicious!  [ I hope none of the guests  will notice ]

Finally we started to cut the cake , the smooth filling oozing out of the cake . Sadly I need to wait .And Wait . And Wait . For last piece because of that “ Guests First” rule.

As everyone experienced the heavenly taste of the sensational Cake , at last my tummy is satisfied  with the superb raspberry cheese cake .

Doing Nothing

I lay stiller than a stone lying on the bottom of chilly lake Wanaka . I felt  infuriated as I had just lost one of many battles with my devastatingly annoying little brother . He was angrier than a rampaging bull charging straight at me . Just because I borrowed his pens .


I lay still listening to everything around me .I could hear  little wax eyes  chirping a harmonious song outside my window . While my cat peacefully purred by my side . The clank of knives and forks showed that delicious dinner was nearly ready .


Slowly I fell into a deep sleep dreaming of nothing but light , fluffy candy floss clouds and sparkling rainbows glimmering in the sky as the sun’s radiant light reflects off them .Yet to suddenly have to wake to go to dinner

My writing goal so far this term is to write complete sentences by showing one where sentence ends by putting in appropriate punctuation, and starting the next sentence with a capital letter.

Here is a piece of writing about the rain.

Splish splash splish splash. The rain is bucketing down like hammers nailing a broken fence board back in place. As I walked outside,whilst the rain was still pouring it smelt divine.
